Job Description:


* Perform preventive maintenance on all hotel guest rooms and public areas as scheduled, this requires the individual to follow and complete a checklist guiding them to visually inspect and detect items needing repair and requires knowledge of a wide variety of maintenance trades.

* Maintain timelines and work schedule in accordance with the preventive maintenance program.

* Receive daily work assignments from manager and review priorities and special projects.

* Respond to guest calls and complaints in a positive, polite and timely manner.

* Complete daily maintenance, preventative maintenance checklists and repair logs.

* Perform electrical repair tasks: replace light switches, reset circuit breakers, replace wall plug receptacle, replace fluorescent light ballast, replace electrical solonial valve, replace small motors, use test equipment; bolometer, voltage tester, amp probe. Perform Lockout / Tagout

* Perform plumbing work orders: unplug sinks, toilets, clear/unjam garbage disposals and drain lines, repair or replace valves, gate, globe, ball, solonial valves, replace washer, gaskets, vacuum breakers, toilet seals, faucets & fixtures including cartridges.

* Perform Mechanical repairs and preventative maintenance: Change filters, clean coils, check

* Maintain complete knowledge of: appropriate paint and adhesive types for various surfaces, the latest techniques for mixing formulas for paints, acrylics, epoxies, scalers, concrete paints, stains, varnishes, ventilation of and storage of flammable and toxic material, mixture formulas for paints as required.

* Repair and maintain all painted surfaces and items, including preparation and installation of all types of latex, enamels, etc.

* Maintain for the proper use, cleaning, maintenance and storage of all tools, (i.e. brushes, rollers, paint sprayers, trays, ladders, scaffolds, etc.) and supplies.

Experience and Skills:

QUALIFICATIONS:

* 1 year building maintenance experience in hospitality or similar fast-paced environment with high quality workmanship expectations for Engineer III.

* 3 -5 years experience as a commercial painter, hotel experience preferred for Painter.

* Ability to communicate effectively in English with guests, management and colleagues.

* Ability to push, pull, grasp, lift or carry supplies, equipment or tools weighting up to 100 lbs. occasionally.

* Think quickly and act appropriate in emergency situations.

* Perform well under pressure situations, time demands, and work overtime when needed.

* Ensure that job site is clean and orderly after completion of all jobs.

* Ability to satisfactorily communicate (verbal and written) in English with guests, co-workers, and management. Must be able to read and interpret documents such as safety manuals, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals.

* Must be able to work in a fast paced and customer service-orientated environment; to perform duties under pressure and meet deadlines in a timely manner

* Must have open availability, holidays, weekends and nights.
